IPC aspires to be a place that stays clear on its values and lives in accordance with them. Our “why” is very clear: to help children, youth, and their families live to their fullest potential, unhindered by the burden of mental health difficulties.

We believe…

  • In science. IPC strives to provide evidence-based treatment and maintain treatment fidelity. This means that we offer treatments that are supported by science and deliver them the way that they were intended.

  • In high-quality care. We do regular, ongoing clinical supervision and training because humans are complex and helping people change and heal takes considerable knowledge and skill.

  • In inclusivity. We want everyone to feel safe and welcome. Getting there is our responsibility so we train regularly in how to support an inclusive work and therapeutic environment and are committed to staying curious and open.

  • In the potential of all people. We believe that our in-born, natural tendency is to grow and change. Mental health concerns can interrupt this growth and leave us suffering. That’s when we hope you will reach out to us. Because pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.

  • In the therapeutic relationship. Warmth, care and compassion are necessary components to the change process and you will find them at IPC. In fact, we are so committed to being open-hearted to our patients, that we are fiercely committed to our own well-being. We take care of ourselves so that we can be there for you.
