Frequently Asked Questions

Are your fees covered by my provincial health coverage?

Our fees are not covered by provincial health insurance. Those with private health insurance may be eligible for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider for details. Fees are in line with the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA) and Psychological Association of Prince Edward Island’s (PAPEI) posted rates.

What are your wait times?

Because we value responsive care, we work hard to keep our wait times reasonable. Most of our services are available within 2-4 months.

How do I know which type of assessment I need?

The easy answer is reach out to us and we will help you sort this out. It is sometimes possible to begin with a less intensive assessment and then add additional pieces if needed. In addition, each of our assessments begins with a 1-hour intake interview to understand the concerns. In this appointment, we can discuss which assessment will be the best fit.

I would like to participate in one of your Emotion Focused Skills Therapy (EFST) parent/caregiver workshops. How do I sign up?

EFST workshops for caregivers are offered on a semi-regular basis throughout the year. If you would like to have your name added to the list, just reach out to us.

Do you provide services for adults?

IPC is not currently accepting referrals for adult services. However, we do provide service to parents and caregivers. Parent work is available to parents of children of any age.
